Overview

Michael advises lenders and investors in all aspects of secured financings, with an emphasis on representing institutional lenders in the origination of commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans.

Michael's institutional clients count on him to prepare and negotiate documents for their commercial and real estate transactions that align with their objectives. With the right financing structure, he is able to achieve results that meet expectations. Michael also assists a wide range of institutional clients with respect to acquisitions, dispositions and ground leases of commercial real estate assets.

Michael handles complex real estate and commercial finance transactions for commercial banks, life insurance companies and other institutional clients, including, mortgage lending, mezzanine lending, construction lending, hospitality lending, CMBS, portfolio and bridge lending and syndicated credit facilities. Michael provides counsel in workouts and restructuring troubled credits as well as loan assumptions and loan modifications.

Experience

Michael drafts and negotiates loan agreements and related security documents for real estate financings involving industrial properties, multifamily properties and office buildings.

He handles complex real estate loans for major conduit lenders across the U.S.

Focused on business finance, Michael advises local banks, master servicers and special servicers on transactions including loan assumptions, loan modifications and loan workouts.

He represents buyers and sellers in transfers and leases of commercial real estate assets, such as office buildings, retail, industrial properties and multifamily and mixed use properties.

Michael serves as counsel to both landlords and tenants regarding leases for office, retail and warehouse space.
