Steven is driven to find creative solutions to his client's intellectual property law challenges.

Overview

With a focus on mechanical, software and computer system patents, Steven handles the preparation and prosecution of foreign and domestic patents applications. He also helps clients evaluate the patentability of new inventions and prepare opinions on patent infringement and validity. Additionally, Steven has experience assessing clients' freedom to make, use and sell their products in view of issued patents asserted against them.

Steven also assists his clients in challenging and defending the validity of patents in Inter Parte Review (IPR) and Post Grant Review (PGR) proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). 

Representative technologies that Steven works with include medical devices and implants, automated manufacturing systems and equipment, automation software, tools, fasteners, building structural connectors and other building components, packaging, commercial kitchen appliances, lubrication systems, exercise equipment, firearm tools and accessories, fiber optics, and numerous other technologies.
