Fearless and focused, Courtney’s talent for transforming complex and complicated litigation into clear and compelling narratives has made her the trusted choice for high-stakes cases.

Overview

Courtney’s experience as an intelligence analyst gives her a unique approach to litigation, allowing her to analyze seemingly unwinnable cases and find solutions for clients. She is called upon when clients are involved in particularly complex, high-stakes matters and need somebody who can dig in to efficiently craft an effective and persuasive defense.

She has successfully helped her clients navigate numerous multi-million dollar threatened and litigated class action litigation as well as numerous investigations (both internal and government-led).

Courtney also channels this experience into her e-Discovery (including electronically stored information or ESI) practice, balancing her client’s goals of accuracy and efficiency. From large-scale document reviews to targeted collections, Courtney leverages her knowledge of e-Discovery tools such as Technology Assisted Review (TAR) to develop collection and review strategies that best fit her client’s needs.

Defended several consumer class action lawsuits on behalf of a major US manufacturer, with an active role in arguing and litigating class certification and managing discovery.

Defended major manufacturer clients in multiple lawsuits involving allegations of environmental damage or exposure to alleged toxic chemicals, including PFAS and Benzene.

Represented clients in multiple $10+ million jury trials involving “bet-the-company” litigation.

Discovery and Investigations

As a lead ESI attorney, Courtney manages document collection and production in a variety of complex lawsuits, including class actions and trade secret, antitrust, and product liability disputes.

She also helps her clients conduct sensitive, internal investigations and respond to federal subpoenas. This extensive e-Discovery experience includes the use of advanced analytics, TAR, and managed document review.

Pro Bono Work

For more than 10 years, Courtney has focused her efforts on helping victims of abuse become survivors. In her legal practice, this translates to helping victims of abuse and human trafficking navigate civil and criminal lawsuits that often prevent these survivors from moving on.
