Andrew is a litigation strategist who works with clients to develop compelling themes and strategies early on and throughout litigation.

Overview

Andrew's clients appreciate his creativity and diligence in uncovering evidence to develop litigation strategies and narratives, with the ultimate goal of delivering straightforward, understandable, and persuasive written and courtroom presentations.

Andrew represents businesses in challenging, high-stakes disputes. He has defended multiple state and nationwide class actions, involving numerous regulated industries. Also, Andrew investigates and resolves a variety of disputes including lawsuits involving business and personal torts.

His experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants gives him a unique perspective on examining witnesses, conducting investigations, and digging for evidence.

Experience

Andrew has conducted jury and bench trials and engaged in all types of motion practice, including class certification. Also, Andrew has drafted appellate briefs and argued several appeals, including appearances before the Missouri Supreme Court and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Andrew has handled numerous contract disputes, along with business tort lawsuits (for both plaintiffs and defendants) involving fraud claims, representations and warranties, and other claims arising from mergers and acquisitions.

Andrew also has significant experience with other business tort matters including non-compete/non-solicitation agreements, misappropriation of trade secrets, intellectual property disputes, unfair competition, breach of fiduciary duty, and shareholder disputes.

Andrew’s experience includes the defense of multiple class actions. His cases often involve claimed violations of the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act (MMPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and other consumer protection statutes, along with statutes and regulations applicable to financial institutions.

Andrew helped lead the defense of a national bank in a breach of a fiduciary duty lawsuit seeking over $500 million in damages. After extensive discovery, motion practice and trial preparation, Andrew's client reached favorable settlement days before trial.

He has obtained summary judgments and dismissals as lead counsel on behalf of regional and national financial institutions in cases alleging fraud, lender liability, breach of contract and other state and federal claims.

Also, Andrew has significant experience with personal torts and negligence lawsuits.

As lead trial counsel, Andrew obtained a complete defense verdict following a jury trial in claims of intentional torts and premises liability against a business, its owners, managers and employees.

Andrew serves on the firm's Pro Bono and Associate Development Committees.
