Alisa understands complex Chapter 11 bankruptcies, and counsels clients on how to make the most of the process. She’s worked with a variety of claimants in the aviation, banking, mining, health care, utilities, agribusiness, professional sports, hospitality and entertainment industries, among others, representing parties on all sides of bankruptcy, receiverships, workouts and debt restructuring.

Experience

Alisa has recently represented committees of unsecured creditors in bankruptcies involving mining, a rural communications provider, a dairy farm, a developer of green energy alternatives, and a shelving manufacturer.

As counsel for the debtor, Alisa has recently represented golf course developments, a national fast food franchisor, and a real estate company working to rehabilitate environmentally contaminated land.

She has represented the pension interests of retired pilots in the Delta airlines bankruptcy, and the interests of tort claimants in multiple Chapter 11 bankruptcies of various Roman Catholic dioceses, and creditors of multiple hospitals and other health care entities.

Alisa’s articles include examining defenses to preference claims, Arizona's anti-deficiency statute, sales of assets in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, and representation of tort claimants in claims against the Catholic diocese.
